Photo frames are one of the most reliable repeat categories in home décor, because they sell year-round, photograph well and suit almost every retail format — from a supermarket aisle to a specialty gift shop. We supply wholesale photo frames from China in wood, metal, resin, glass and mixed-material constructions, in standard sizes from 4x6 to 8x10 as well as custom openings for your market.

Typical programs combine a core price-point range for volume retail with a smaller number of higher-finish designs for gift and e-commerce buyers. Finishes are the most common source of quality complaints, so every program is signed off against a physical sample — colour, distressing, plating and glass thickness are all checked before production, not assumed from a photo.
Because frames are light but bulky, they are a natural fit for a mixed container: we usually consolidate them with mirrors, clocks and small tabletop items so the carton cube is filled economically and one freight cost covers several lines.
Frame material is the first cost decision and the first quality risk. MDF with a paper or veneer wrap covers most volume price points; solid wood such as pine, fir and acacia suits premium and gift ranges; electroplated metal and polyresin carry the higher-finish designs. Whichever you choose, the finish is confirmed on a physical sample, because wrap adhesion, colour consistency between units, plank alignment and glass clarity are exactly the defects that photographs hide. Mixed-material frames, such as wood with metal accents or resin with a printed insert, are quoted separately, since each one adds a secondary process and a second quality gate.
We build to your market's standard sizes rather than to a fixed catalogue range:
If you are matching an existing listing, send the opening size, the glass type and a photograph of the back. We work from that rather than asking you to translate your specification into factory terms.
Frames are light for their volume, so freight is normally decided by cube rather than by weight. Every carton is designed around the frame count you need inside a mixed container: corner protection, interleaving and inner partitions are specified per size, and the master carton dimensions are checked against the loading plan before production. Brown cartons keep landed cost down, while retail-ready and drop-test packing are available for e-commerce buyers shipping single units. Where a programme mixes frames with mirrors and small tabletop pieces, everything is loaded on one plan so the cube is filled evenly and the container does not travel half empty.
Frame complaints cluster around a small number of predictable faults, and each one has a standard countermeasure:
We inspect against the approved pre-production sample before loading and issue the inspection report with the shipping documents.
Start from the shelf, not from the catalogue. Decide the retail price ladder first — entry, mid and gift — then work out the sizes each price point needs, and only then collect reference designs. Most successful programmes are narrow at the top and wide at the bottom: two or three premium designs for display and a broad run of entry price points that carry the volume. Finishes travel badly between markets, so a distressed look that sells in one country can read as a defect in another; confirm the finish on a physical sample in your own market's light.
For a spring or autumn reset, allow two to four months end to end: sampling that depends on the item - about a week for a repeat order or a stock shape, several weeks for a new design, thirty to forty-five days for production after deposit, and twenty-five to thirty-five days sea freight. Custom mouldings and new tooling add fifteen to twenty days at the sampling stage, so they have to be started a month earlier. If a programme is tied to a fixed retail date, we work backwards from that date and flag the last acceptable order-confirmation date at the start of the project.
Can I mix frame sizes in one order? Yes — most buyers run 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 in the same container so the range works as a shelf story.
Do you handle the glass? Yes, including tempered or acrylic where your market requires it. Tell us the destination country and we will confirm the compliance route.
What is the fastest way to start? Send reference images and your target retail price; we will come back with two or three factory options, a sample timetable and a landed cost estimate.
What is your MOQ for photo frames? From 500 pcs per design on stock shapes; 1,000-3,000 pcs where custom mouldings or new tooling are involved.
What are your lead times? Seven to ten days for counter samples, thirty to forty-five days for production after deposit, plus twenty-five to thirty-five days sea freight.
Can you put our logo or brand on the product and packaging? Yes — branded label, printed insert card, hangtag and retail carton printing. Send your artwork and we will confirm the dieline on the pre-production sample.
What compliance and testing do you handle? We confirm the route per destination: material and finish declarations, packaging and labelling, and third-party testing where your market or your customer requires it.
How do you pack for e-commerce? Drop-test packing, individual cartons and print-ready outer labels, so a unit can ship to a customer without repacking.
Can you supply a mixed container with other categories? Yes — frames are routinely consolidated with mirrors, clocks and small tabletop items on a single container plan.
Do you offer OEM and ODM? Both. OEM means made to your drawings and brand; ODM means our own designs adapted to your price point and market.
