China Sourcing Agent for Home Décor, Seasonal Products and General Merchandise
We work as your sourcing partner — and we can also supply
Most agents introduce a factory and step back. We stay: one contract, one invoice, and one party responsible for quality.
What a sourcing agent does for you
Most buyers do not need a translator. They need someone who can walk into a factory, check the sample against the drawing, argue about the carton mark, and tell them the truth about the lead time.
- Supplier search and vetting — factory capability, export licence, past buyers, real production capacity.
- Quotation and negotiation — unit price, MOQ, tooling, packaging cost, and container loading data.
- Sampling and product development — briefing the factory, checking the sample, flagging what is not achievable before you pay for it.
- Quality control — in-line checks and pre-shipment inspection, with photos and a written report.
- Consolidation — goods from several factories combined into one container.
- Shipping and documents — booking, export documents, CO, and market certificates.
- Compliance support — GPSR, EPR and packaging requirements for the EU; FDA and CPSIA questions for the US. We coordinate with the factory and the testing lab; we do not issue certificates ourselves.
How we differ from a commission agent
Who signs the contract
Typical agent: you sign with the factory. With us: we sign with you.
Who invoices you
Typical agent: the factory. With us: we do.
Who is responsible for quality
Typical agent: the factory, while the agent coordinates. With us: we are.
Price transparency
Typical agent: commission may be hidden in the factory price. With us: agreed in writing before work starts.
Can they supply directly
Typical agent: no. With us: yes — we quote and supply.
Fees
We do not hide our margin inside the factory price.
- Agency work (supplier search, project sourcing, machinery): quoted per project in writing before we start. We do not publish a rate card, because the scope varies too much for a percentage to be fair to either side.
- Direct supply: you receive a supply price. Our margin is inside it, and no separate commission is added later.
- Inspection: quoted per man-day, at cost, when a third-party inspector is required.
- Consolidation: quoted per container when goods come from multiple factories.
You will always know which model you are on before you commit.
Who this is for
- Importers and wholesalers buying several product categories from China and tired of managing ten suppliers.
- Retailers and online sellers who need smaller quantities but still want factory-level pricing.
- Buyers who need one container mixed from different factories.
- Companies sourcing home décor, seasonal products, photo frames, mirrors, clocks, kitchen and household goods.
Who this is not for
- Buyers looking for the absolute lowest price with no quality requirement — we are not the cheapest, and we will tell you so.
- Single-item, one-off purchases below our MOQ.
- Buyers who want us to copy a protected design or brand.
How an engagement works
- Brief — you send the product, target price, quantity and destination market.
- Scope and fee — we confirm in writing whether this is agency work or direct supply, and what it costs.
- Supplier shortlist — typically 2-4 factories, with capability notes and indicative pricing.
- Sample — timing depends on the item; roughly a week for a repeat order or a stock shape, several weeks for a new design.
- Order, inspection, shipment — as described in How We Work.
FAQ
What does a sourcing agent in China cost?
Commission-based agents typically charge a percentage of order value, and full-service providers charge more for compliance and QC. We quote a fixed scope in writing before starting, so you are never surprised by a deduction at the end.
What is the difference between a sourcing agent and a trading company?
An agent represents you and usually does not take ownership of the goods. A trading company buys, sells and carries responsibility. We do both — and we tell you which model applies to your order.
Can you combine several factories into one container?
Yes. Consolidation is one of the main reasons buyers work with us. We collect from multiple factories, check each carton, and load one container against one set of documents.
Do you inspect before shipment?
Yes, on every order. Third-party inspection can be added at cost.
What is your MOQ?
It depends on the item and the factory. For stock shapes and repeat items the MOQ is usually low; for new tooling it is higher. Send the item and we will give you the real number.
Can you help with GPSR and EPR?
We coordinate the documentation with the factory and the testing lab. We do not issue certificates ourselves, and we will tell you clearly what the factory can and cannot provide.
